Pisanhari KiMadiya may be
a popular Digambar Jain pilgrimage center. The temple
complex encompasses a sizable amount of small Jain temples
situated within.
Believed to be built by a poor woman around 500
years ago, Pisanhari Ki Madiya may be a symbol of service and
dedication. After taking note of a Jain monks' preaches, this lady
decided to create a Jain temple on a hill top. because the woman
was very poor she had to construct the temple with the cash she had
earned by grinding flour along with her stone mill. She failed
to have the money to put in gold pots on the temple tower
and decided to position the rice mill on the highest. These
stones are still found within the premises and also
the temple gets the name from it.
Easily accessible, the temple has been renovated
with marble and diverse shrines of assorted Thirthankar
saints are found here. Being on top of a hill, the views from the temple are
spectacular. The peaceful surroundings are thought to be a
perfect place for meditation and also the whole family can enjoy
a quiet day at the temple.
